3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled: The additions makes this less that traditional but I really like the pear and white pepper character working with the normal "bubblegummy", earthy and clove notes of the yeast. Sprite carbonation opens the palate as well. I really dig this even if "not to style"

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Pours a pale, burnt orange, clear with minimal head and lacing. Nose is yeast, slight funk, chardonnay, bread, pepper. Mouth is medium bodied, slightly creamy up front, clove, pepper, biscuit, yeasty spice, mild bitter towards middle, then goes doughy and the pears make a light appearance towards the finish. Nice!

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from 22oz bottle, label was stamped mid March 2014, so just about as young as can be found. Vigorous carbonation. Peppery aroma. Very forward pepper taste. Some tart sweetness (presumably from the pear), but then more pepper squeezing out siloed hay and malt flavors. A chilled subsequent pour slightly muted the pepper and elevated the malt. Unmemorable except for the pepper; not a fan.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance is crystal clear golden with a thick white foam cap. Aroma is citrus, pear, pepper, and spicy Belgian saison yeast. Taste is bready malt, pepper, tart citrus and pear, with a high hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and moderately carbonated. Finishes with a distinct pepper spice and hop bitten as that lingers for a bit on the tongue. Great saison, but definitely a more pronounced bitterness than typical for the style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A clear, bright and sunny golden yellow body sports a fading frothy capped smooth white head leaving a few dots and fleeting islands of lace
White pepper and citrus calmed by pear and green melon, smooth transitions, mildly rustic and fairly dry with a quenching juicy base, medium bodied, silky coating to offer solid duration on the residual

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber thanks to strykzone via local swap 5.2. Pours a hazy straw color with an enormous foamy white head. Aroma of hay, grass, sweet pear juice, and some old citrus. Mouthfeel had a lot of fizzy carbonation. Taste is similar to the aroma. Old citrus, hay, grassy hops, peppery spice, and a hint of sweet pear. Solid stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber shared by Madbeerbaron. The pear sweetens it out, but it is subtle. Infected American Sour tones. Not overly impressive.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle brought to Max’s. Pours a light golden body with white head and lacing. Aroma is spice, yeast, lemon and additional fruits. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side but with lots of carbonation. Notes of lemon, spice, yeast and grass. Ok, but very plain and bland overall.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Max’s tasting. Pours a very hazed gold with a medium to large white head that eventually deflates. Big lemony musk with some esters and yeast. Soft sweetness, musk, lemon again. Falls a bit short of the nose, but pretty nice otherwise.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours hazy yellow gold with a white head. Spicy yeast, light flowery notes, and some light malty sweetness. Just a bit overcarbonated. Not bad.
