4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Funked up pepper and yeast and light background fruits. Borderline gueuzey. Murky ass gold. White ring, foreboding in a good way. Very smooth fruit married to the goal product stille showcasing notable saison earthy yeast and pepper. Really fun.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Barcade, Philadelphia tap ($6) Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is fruity, with farmhouse funk and a light bit of spicing. Taste is a little bit sweet and a tad dry. Fruit flavors come out well. Not too hoppy. Nice body and easily drinkable. This is a somewhat run of the mill saison, but it was good nonetheless.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz tulip at Martin City Brewing Company in Martin City, Missouri. The pour is a lightly hazed orange golden with a well formed one inch white head. Pretty in the glass. The aroma is primarily the clove and earthy yeast, along with straw and grass. The taste follows the nose, primarily the yeast clove notes, layered on top of a grassy straw body. There is a hint of sweetness, though it is decently managed. Pepper notes come out a bit as the beer warmed. The palate is medium bodied, slightly below average carbonation, and clove in the finish. Decent, straight forward, Saison.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a slightly pale golden color with a couple fingers of fizzy foam. On the nose its a nice blend of juicy pear, earthy yeast and a dose of peppery spice. The palate follows the nose nicely with a good balance between earthy saison yeast with light fruit coming through mid palate with some ripe pear notes. The finish is dry and spicy with lots of peppery spice.... good lingering finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: pours a cloudy pale yellow, minimal white head that fades away. Lemon, wheatgrass, pear and subtle funk on the nose. More fruit and wheat on the palate and a bit sweet. Not a bad Saison but not elite by any means.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Stopped in to 4 Hands this evening and had a couple of glasses. This was clear golden with decent carbonation and a white fluffy head that left some lacing. Saison yeast was what dominated the aroma. It was also prominent in the flavor. Nice fruit is tasted and later some pepper. Pale malts are moderate. This is a classic saison, if a clean one. Funk and barnyard were bare minimum. This is definitely an Americanized version of a saison in that is was so clean with no rough edges. Nicely done.
