3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ICEatALAMO (533) - Troy, Michigan, USA - APR 10, 2013
Bottle. Pours a nice bright red and orange. The aroma is strong of hops, inviting. The hops are muted big time in the taste. Get more malt than anything with some faint hops. Very opposite than what I was expecting. Better than your average amber ale, not as good as your average ipa.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Narnad (1340) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - APR 8, 2013
Pours a deep amber color with a very nice, pillowy off white head. Aroma has a strong citrus grapefruit and orange note, mild caramel malt sweetness. Flavor starts off with a very pronounced centennial hops presence. Lots of orange, mild grapefruit, some flowery with a very well balanced caramel and biscuit malt flavor late to help cut some of the hops. Body is modest but very crisp. Overall a very good brew. Low alcohol, lots of flavor without having to go to the extreme.

Pours a hazy reddish amber with a medium creamy off white lacing head. Aroma of citrus and pine along with a doughy light toasted malt profile. Flavor of the same citrus and piney hop notes the nose had along with a nice nutty, caramel and toasted malt profile.

Pours amber with froth light beige head. Aroma is caramel and citrus. Taste is light bodied, refreshing malty taste up front gives way to bitter piney mild floral spectrum at end. Overall good beer. Tastes like a less maltier fat tire to me. Still a great beer to drink if you can find it.
