On tap poured into a sampler glass. Lots of pine, dry citrus, and tropical fruits greet the nose on this. It pours a clear, copper orange with a dense thick white head. The head reduces down to a micro thin ring with a clean surface. Itís highly bitter with a medium sweetness. The full body has a waxy texture with a lightly active light quantity of carbonation. It finishes with bright, tropical fruit, citrus, and bread crust. The aftertaste is mellow.

Pours straw yellow with an off white head from a bottle. Aroma is pineapple and citrus, an interesting mix. Pineapple flavors on the tongue with a heavy hoppy bitterness. The backend lingers but in a good way. Itís like Centennial Red with a more massive kick.

On tap @ 4 Hands. Clear orange pour with a white head. Tons of grapefruit, pineapple, and tangerine on the nose. A bit of kumquat, orange, and pine. Subtle lime zest as well. Light bready malts. Some citric hop character on the palate and a nice bitterness. Lots of pineapple and grapefruit. Light kumquat and a good amount of pine. A bit malty on the finish.

Draft on tap at the brewery (St. Louis, MO). RBSG 2014 Friday Bus Tour. Pours a pale lively golden hue, nice gentle amber glow with a frothy nice offwhite head. Good layering, nice lacing overall and stick around. Aromas are rich and solid Mosaic fruity hops, touches of citrus, tropical fruit, lively complexity with mellow bread, straw, florals and grass. Initial is a bit catty, dank with some diesel, tropical fruit and citrus. Nice tropical element is middling and leads the charge. Touches of bread, straw, crisp malt elements are dry and bitter. Backend is a bti dry, soapy and fruity with a small body. Quite crushable with a trendy and enjoyable hop character. Finish is lingering fruit, touches of guava and citric elements are good compliments. Trendy hop, really nice brew.

If you prefer citrus hops over pine as I do, this beer will smell great to you. Grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit, and just about every other type of citrus are presented in the aroma. Looks great; golden with a white head that leaves a medium amount of lacing on the glass. Tastes of citrus hops with some pine that was not in the aroma. Could be a little stronger, but then again, I lean towards DIPAís. Good malt backbone, solid all around IPA. I may like it better than 4 Hands War Hammer; another great IPA that you should try.
