Shared a bottle with Bruce. Pours a dark yellow with an enormous head. With one finger of beer at the bottom of the glass the foam almost poured over the top. The only real flaw in an otherwise really nice ipa. Lots of grapefruit and especially orange on the nose. Slight caramel quality in the flavor but misty citrus. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable ipa.

Bomber from Ardmore bottle shop. Pours a hazy amber orange with pillowy, resilient off white head. Medium bodied brew with hints of mango, fuzzy navel, pineapple and passion fruit. Low bitterness, more of a juicy IPA. Billowing with fruity hop aromas and flavors. This is a nice change of pace to the high ABV, bitter and pine-centric zeitgeist that has defined the IPA category. Light caramel malt presence as it warms to optimal serving temp. Superior IPA. Will seek this and other 4 Hands offerings in the future.

Bomber. Pour is a nice clear coppery gold with a massive head and real nice aromas of passionfruit and pear. Flavor is a bit of a disappointment, but it seems to get better as it breathes. First sip was a grainy mess with a little bit of hops as an afterthought. I sat confused for a minute and then gave it another try, and was hit by a punchy hop presence... passionfruit and resin are strong here with a bitter finish. The graininess still comes through, but not nearly as strong as it did on that first hit.

Pours clear orange / copper with a soapy off-white head. The aroma has tropical fruits, funky dankness, semi-sweet caramel malt and pineapple. It has a medium body that got a rich lushness that’s more than most IPAs and there is pretty soft carbonation. The flavor starts with spice, pine, tropical fruit, dry caramel malt, crackers and earthiness. The finish has earth, resin and minerals. It gets quite dry, then lingering fruity hoppiness. Solid IPA.

Bottle shared thanks to Dmac. Pours out a nice orangy/copper color with a two finger whitehead. Aroma is of lots of fresh citrus fruits, light pine notes and some grainy notes. Taste is complex, soft mouthfeel, some nice notes of juicy citrus, light fruity bitterness, some pine resin. A nice level of bitterness.

Bomber from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy coppery orange wth off-white head. Nose is grapefruity citrus, caramel malt, peppery florals. The taste is a mix of grapefruity and pineapply citrus, hops, resin, black pepper, and a well balanced finish with a tropical citrus pop.

651mL shared at Congregation Azusa. Pours a low haze gold. Medium white foam. Nose is squashy, big citrus peel, sharper perfume, pomelo. Taste is overly chemical bitter, heavy perfume, sharp citrus peel. Unbalanced dry and bitter mouthfeel.

22oz bomber from Keir. Poured a hazy bronze copper body with a large fluffy white head. Aroma is great, loads of citrus rind, grapefruit, juicy hop cones, grain, orange marmalade topped toast. Palate is spot on with a delicate mouthfeel and slightly stronger carbonation. Flavor is good but not as good as aroma. Notes of citrus rinds, dry grain husks, toast, orange rind. Good stuff.
