Bomber. Nose is amazing. Vanilla and bourbon. Smooth milk chocolate. Taste doesn’t live up to the nose. A bit of harsh whiskey and some barrel. But no excessive heat. A touch thin for a ba imperial. Pretty good.

Bomber to snifter (2014 vintage; shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a fairly opaque dull and very dark (almost black) coffee with foamy beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; dark malt, chocolate, coffee, oak, vanilla, and a bit of bourbon. Tastes like it smells, but not quite as rich and balanced, with more of a powdered cocoa than chocolate presence. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Could be more viscous, but tasty nonetheless.

2014 version. Pours an inky black with a foamy dark tan head from the bottle. Aroma is heavy on whiskey and thin on everything else. This beer is thick, viscous in the mouth. Taste is straight whiskey at first but if you swish it around the taste really comes out. Nice dark chocolate and coffee notes in the aftertaste all mixed in with a sweet whiskey taste.
