Columbus Tomahawk Zeus is the primary hop variety in War Hammer as well as the inspiration for the name. We use a combination of Pacific Northwest hops to create layers of pungent flavors. A generous malt bill adds biscuit and honey notes while allowing the hops to take center stage. War Hammer pours golden in color with aromas of pineapple, mango, tangerine, resin, & slight earthy notes. Drink fresh!

Deep gold pour with a fluffy white head. Very malty nose with some grapefuit dancing around. The malt continues into the flavor, honey, ruby red grapefruit. More malt than I would prefer in this style.

Rich dank smell of sweet malt and the slightest amount of hops. I wanted more of a hoppy scent. Looks great - crimson/amber color with a small cap of creamy white foam. Spicy taste at first with some hops but not a ton. Malt sweetness then makes an appearance but does not stay long. Aftertaste is not particularly long. Palate is not great. I had high hopes for this one but it fell flat.

650ml bottle from Binny’s in Chicago, Illinois. Orange-copper in colour with a thin lasting white head, light lacing. The aroma is quite hoppy, citrus, light pine, light malts. The flavour is moderately bitter, oranges, pine, caramel malts. Finishes long, bitter, warm.

Received in a trade and then took the bottle with me to England and drank it over there. This beer was loaded with hops. Really enjoyed drinking this guys, good combo of malt and ton of hops. Awesome artwork as well.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Huge citrus, pine, floral, American hops. The malts are subtle and in the background.

22oz bomber, courtesy of gregwilsonstl, pours with a slightly hazy copper body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up a cool grassy, malty cracker and pine hop sensation that I’m liking. The aroma is smooth and only slightly boozy at the end of the draw. The taste begins with resiny pine hops, modestly juicy citrus and tropical fruity hops riding above a smooth sweet malty base. The hops grow in bitterness and resiny hop notes to midway as a light cracker malt sensation bubbles to the surface. Solid brew

Draft to snifter. Looks good; a fairly transparent burnt apricot with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of bitter and fruity hops and a bit of biscuit with a big bittersweet malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a sticky medium full-bodied backbone. A bit boozy. A solid bittersweet malt bomb.
