4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had this fresh at the brewery and a bottle kept in the fridge until now about 2 months later. Still fresh and delicious. Much cleaner and lighter on the palate with a little cold conditioning age, big big sticky alpha, has that big bite with almost matching citrus, aroma is fantastic. Super drinkable, lively carb. Fantastic.

This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave for this fantastic beer.
Pours a hazy apricot color with a really big rocky head that lasted seemingly forever and left lacing rings like Elmer’s glue. Really attractive. The nose is is caramel malts, tropical fruit, and grapefruit. Medium body and a sticky resinous mouthfeel. Flavor is intense, with citrus and pine hops just bombarding the palate. Finish is long, dry and the flavors just stay with you. Alcohol well hidden. I think most people are underrating this fantastic beer maybe because they drink it too cold. This was started at 58 degrees and it got even better as it warmed a few more degrees. Superb imperial IPA. Loved this one.

Sampled at Four Hands Lupulin Carnival 2012 - Pours copper with a white head. The aroma has grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit, caramel malt and cotton candy. Medium husky body with semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts out with grapefruit rind, earth, pineapple and dry crackery malt. The finish is kinda rough and abrasive due to the hoppiness ~ this is in a good way. It gets earthy and piny as it warms. Nicely done IIPA.

Really floral essence and real hops taste. Great white foamy head and nice lingering lace. Dark amber color is opaque.

Tap pours a nice clear deep gold with off white bubbles. The aroma is dried flowery citrusy hops with pale malts. The flavor is very well crafted with big bright citrus hops smoothed and sweetened by the right pale malts. Very drinkable, soft and rounded with lingering dry floral bitter.

Tap. Pour is a deep clear copper with a small white head. Aroma and flavor are loaded with citrus hops and a touch pine hop. Also loads of sweet malt with more citrus hop in flavor. Certainly a large malt profile but the loads of citrus hops balance it well.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a fresh blast of fruity, resiny hops. Flavor is again a aggressive hop with some pinapple and mango aftertaste like the label says. Malts are slightly there, just enough to give this a medium moutfeel. Solid. So this is what a fresh DIPA tastes like? I had forgotten.

Pours hazy golden with 1 finger head that lingers, leaving medium to heavy lacing. Toasted malt with grapefruit and tropical fruit mediumbitter hops. Medium body, moderate, pleasant carbonation. Long bitter finish. This is a great imperial IPA.

Holy smokes, this was released at last weekend’s Lupulin Carnival and I - not even having attended - am the first to rate it? Shame on you, festival-goers. Shame on you. Draft at Bailey’s Range. Pours a clear, deep golden color with a small white head. The aroma is big and fruity- citrusy hops, pineapple, and a host of tropical fruits on top of a caramel malt backbone. The flavor doesn’t pack quite the same punch; citrusy hops, caramel malts, pineapple, and crackers. Surprisingly dry, especially late. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation. Good.
