3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Schooner on tap at The Station Bar, Katoomba. Pours a fairly clear medium gold, with a large off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves good lacing. The aroma is a blend of fresh, piney hops and some light caramel malt. Pine and mild charcoal hops up front lead into a fairly light body, with some mild caramel malt and maybe a touch of pecan. More pine hops create a crisp finish. Not the world’s most out there beer, but still a pleasantly fresh and hoppy lager, and a fantastic improvement on the usual tap beers in Australian pubs.
