Light amber-yellow body is capped with a large white head that dies down to a thin cap with lcing evident. Not much on the nose, a bit of fruit and maybe a little pepper. Taste is mainly citrus with a sweet undertone. Quite light with a short palate. While it’s not particularly interesting, it is nicely balanced and quite refreshing. Not bad, but not a real winner.

Keg - Manly Hotel, Manly, Sydney. Poured a bright, clear and pale golden yellow with a small but lasting, creamy off-white head atop. Lemon, lime and floral hop aromas on the nose continuing onto the palate with a more prominent base of biscuity-sweet malts. Light to medium body, soft to medium carbonation with a gentle bitterness in the finish of modest length and intensity.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear Golden beer, standard carbonation and small head. Some fruity and dough notes are perceived. The flavor has a clear flavor, but it does not match adequately with the syle, being more aromatic and fruity than it should. A good try, but despite is a good beer is not a good kolsch

Great easy drinking beer. Not the most attractive bottling, but a ripper. Would have plenty more for sure

Good beer in bottle but excellent on tap. Super refreshing, light bodied beer. Don’t know how ’kolsh-y’ it is compared to a traditional kolsh but good nonetheless

Pee yellow colour with fairly low carbonation. Aromas of light citrus and sweet malts. Very light and dry on the palate, some faint sweetness in the mid-palate. Not a lot of flavour but not completely boring either. Not a bad session beer for my current activity - sitting watching the cricket.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A dry, dusty aroma carries notes of citrus and biscuity malt. The taste has a creamy malt underlay with plenty of light lemon and tangerine citrus. The palate’s a little thin and it’s a bit short, but it’s a lively, interesting session beer.

I haven't had too many kolsch's to compare and this beer gets a relatively low average score but I really enjoy it. It's clear straw with a pillowy white head which dissipates quickly. A nice hit of malt up front followed by melon and citrus along with a decent amount of bitterness. A good session beer or to drink with spicy food or some nice fatty German pork products.

Aroma: Breads and slightly sour malt. Aroma not too strong though...
taste is sweet malt, hint of burnt oat, slightly citrus hop overtone. Very drinkable kolsch, sweeter than usual.
