3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Quite dark in colour with a huge floral nose. Pineapple, grass and a hint of flowers on the palate. There is limited bitterness however, which belies the obvious hop smell and flavour. There is no clear malt back note although the beer is very well balanced. Perhaps not a classic amber ale, and although unusual, a delicious beer. 4 Pines do it again. Up there with Australia's most consistent craft brewers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purs a clear dark copper color with a nice head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of pine, fruit and bit of malt sweetness. Tatse of pine, citrus, fruit and a trace of malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, crisp, smooth and refreshing. Very well balanced. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy. Nothing fancy jus a very good beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Produced up a deep orange with excellent clarity and void of visible carbonation. Head does nothing to rise any further than a film of white that to its credit leaves a fine lace. Tangy, underripe fruit, citrus, pear and pineapple over hints of pine-needles and stinging nettles - very pleasing. Plasant bitter, herbal balanced by a sweet honey malt front. A level of pine, orange zest, pale grain, chamomile and camphor gives it depth. Good body as it warms up with low carbonation and and oily finish. Nice length, dry and lasting bleeding out the initial sweetness. Very sessionable stuff. Not over the top but just a great pale ale. Nice! (33cL, BB 29/08/13, Liquor Baron’s Ocean Reef)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice coppery red colour, citrusy aroma. Tasty and deep without being cloying, smooth mouthfeel and aftertaste. Could drink it quite often without ever getting tired of it. My favorite Australian pale ale by quite a margin.

Coppery red under a tight 10mm beige cap. Fruity notes of apricot, sweet raisin and feint pine. Very pleasant bitterness and malt balance. This is a very good APA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a clear coppery amber colour with a very thin head that diminished quickly and left no lacing. Low carbonation. Pleasant sweet fruity aroma. Taste is sweet fruity malts straight up followed by a very mild hops presence. Medium body. Smooth on palate with a very slight bitter finish. Very nice!

Mild brown colour with citrus aromas over a malty biscuity base. A very nice beer.
