COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A colorful deep Ruby Amber appearance. Aromas of Pine and Grapefruit overlay a malt background. On the palate full bodied malty flavors with a tight and bitter finish.

Coppery red under a tight 10mm beige cap. Fruity notes of apricot, sweet raisin and feint pine. Very pleasant bitterness and malt balance. This is a very good APA.

Nice coppery red colour, citrusy aroma. Tasty and deep without being cloying, smooth mouthfeel and aftertaste. Could drink it quite often without ever getting tired of it. My favorite Australian pale ale by quite a margin.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2012 Bottle 330ml from King&Godfree. Tasty amber, malty with a good hop balance. Aromas of grain and nuts. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Pours a beautiful amber colour.Real nice flavour. Great use of hops and malt.. Great amount of bitterness at the end and sits real well as an aftertaste. Really nice well rounded beer. Refreshing ale, pick up at a case at Dan Murphys and enjoy, won’t disappoint.

Nice tasty use of hops in this pale ale. Nice amount of bitterness and aroma as a result that make this an interesting while still being a sessionable beer.

Purs a clear dark copper color with a nice head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of pine, fruit and bit of malt sweetness. Tatse of pine, citrus, fruit and a trace of malt sweetness. Nice bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body, crisp, smooth and refreshing. Very well balanced. Enjoyable beer that goes down easy. Nothing fancy jus a very good beer.

Quite dark in colour with a huge floral nose. Pineapple, grass and a hint of flowers on the palate. There is limited bitterness however, which belies the obvious hop smell and flavour. There is no clear malt back note although the beer is very well balanced. Perhaps not a classic amber ale, and although unusual, a delicious beer. 4 Pines do it again. Up there with Australia's most consistent craft brewers. -

Draught at the brewpub on July 14, 2013. As part of a tasting paddle.
Stated to have 35 IBU, served as "American Style".
Clear copper color, tan head. Malty, sweet, crisp, bitter, hoppy, red berries, hints of grapefruit and other sweeter citrus fruits taste. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, medium to medium high bitterness with a slight mineral finish. Sweet, malty, fresh, hoppy scent.
