2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bluevegie (2923) - Perth, - MAY 17, 2009
3rd beer tried at 4 pines. Orangey bronze body. Grapefruit sweet full aroma with the balance between the hops and the malt but not enough of either , actually a little bit dull but easily drinkable.

Tap and bottle- pleasing grapefruit hop aroma. Well balanced malt and hop profiles. A good hop bitterness finish. Also a good session beer.

Bit of a surprise packet this. Genuine hop punch with tight defiant grapefruit and bitterness. Some subtle malt sweetness is layered in but plays second fiddle to the hops. Surprisingly short finish. I’ll be back for more.

Bottle 330ml from King&Godfree. Tasty amber, malty with a good hop balance. Aromas of grain and nuts. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Drank on tap. Lovely rich colour and nice foamy head. It boasts some citrusy herbaceous notes. Its a quality session pub pale ale thats easy to knock back...one after another.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 eczematic (1297) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 1, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2012 probably the best of the bottled 4 pines beers, im happy to have it when the little creatures use by date is soon. heavy high alpha american hop aroma, slightly dirty somehow though, whether from yeast or hops not sure. some maltiness and caramel and decent bitterness, long lasting hop aftertaste and very dry finish - too dry - but with lots of diacetyl instead of body.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sevenlee (535) - Central Coast, NSW, AUSTRALIA - FEB 9, 2012
Pours an amber colour. Aroma is a bit of pine, grapefruit with some caramel. Taste is also fruity and malty with some toffee leading to a medium bitter finish. I think it’s way too carbinated so mouthfeel is too fizzy which is better suited to a Witbier not a Pale Ale. Overall not bad.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jade (311) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2011
Golden colour with a slight reddish tinge. Minimal head. Slightly cloudy. Sweet fruit aroma. Slightly bitter malt flavour, definite fruit. Nice.

This isn’t a bad effort actually. A slightly subdues fruity, hop aroma followed by a cloudy beer in the Coopers vein. Quite clean tasting, good bitterness and hop flavour too.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Thought this one was an easy sessionable pale but didn’t really have anything going for it. Slight bitterness to finish it off but nothing else is really there
