A dry Irish style stout, presenting almost black, bearing a generous tan head. The aroma profile is of coffee, chocolate and caramel malts. These are matched on the pallet with a full bodied, smooth finish and a balancing bitterness. Currently being tested to become the first certified ‘space beer’ in the world! 330mL BB AUG 14 Pours a nice looking near-black body with a small, but dense beige head persisting atop. Somewhat subdued aroma; milk chocolate, caramel, some biscuity malt character. Nice thick, smooth, oily texture, bolstered by low carbonation. Full bodied, clings onto the palate. Offers more on the body; plenty of milk chocolate and latté, good hit of toffee sweetness, toasted nuts, and a hint of cooked citrus hop. Good whack of bitterness on a lengthy finish. A highly enjoyable stout! I daresay a bit closer to a foreign than a dry style stout, but hey, all the better because of it!

Dark brown, thin head. Aroma is pretty intense for a stout of this size in its roasty richness. Body is soft, with nice sweet chocolate, hints of nuts, little bit of hop

Massive coffee & chocolate notes, almost 'creamy' in smell. Taste of charred steak, dark chocolate, instant coffee. Not highly complex but not bad at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild coffee, chocolate and caramel flavours. Very smooth and creamy, I like it, not too intense, not too bland, quite sessionable.

Bottle. Immaculate deep black with thick mocha head which retains well and forms good lacing. Dulled aromas of chocolate and roasted grain. Delicious chocolate, roasted malt and a touch of coffee. Well balanced with a whack of hops to make it nice and dry on the finish.

This beer has a lovely chocolatey aroma with some tobacco and ash. There’s quite a bit of hops in the taste along with the chocolate. Unfortunately the palate’s a little water and a bit short. It’s the sniffing is where this beer excels, and slurping off that thick off-white head’s pretty good too.

Chocolate and light hops for the aroma, heavy dark brown appearance with a mild creamy head. Tastes of hops upfront, but dark burnt malt on the end with a bit of chocolate and a nice dry finish. Overall a very nice drinking dry stout, nothing amazing but still great.

I tried this over a year ago, but never rated. I remember little, except that it was o ne of "the good ones", with plenty of chocolate and a dry finish...Obviously must re-rate it one day, but not this time.
