Thank You to Gunther for giving me the bottle to try. Labelled 400 Quadringenti. Pours an hazy pale yellow with a nice white head. Aroma of hops, malts and honey. Flavors of malts, wheat, honey, yeast, and a nice hoppy finish. Nice and creamy, light but long lasting hop bitterness. Very tasty and refreshing. Really enjoyed it.

33cl Bottle @ home. Darker blond coloured beer with average carbonation and a rather small white head. Rather light aroma, with some sweeter malty hints. Full palate. Finish is herby malty sweet with some very far alcoholic hints but as short wattery hint as well. Misses some depth and character. Medium.

33cl Bottle,400 Quadringenti labelled, complete with sediment: brewed 09/2011, best before 12/2012. Poured into a Westvleteren chalice @ home on 15 Oct 2012. The sediment was allowed out during my pour so the beer looked a dull, cloudy orange: the head was white, the foam and bubbles being a variety of sizes and shapes. Floral/fruity nose, with traces of malts and yeast. I found the taste to be semi-sour and with a moldy feel overall. Strange but not really interesting, I prefer my Belgian brews to be more powerful and stronger in alcohol. Flavour wise it lacked depth, some maltiness, yeastiness and an off fruity undertone didn’t really do it for me. Nothing wrong with it, but I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2012 33cl bottle @ home shared with dad. Opaque hazy yellow color, very lively beer with a huge white to off-white head that leaves fair lacing. Smell malts, lightly earthy, lightly metallic. Taste malts, lightly metallic, lightly bitter. Towards the end a slight fruityness. Low to medium carbonation, low to medium body. Decent.

Bottle 33 cl from L’Antre du Vaudrée - Liège (B). Golden beer with gorgeous white foam and fine and sturdy crackling. Laces. Fruity aromas, peach, lemon, yeast and spices. The mouth is soft sweetened, malted, yeast, set off with bitterness; notes of coriander, pepper, fruity of citrus and zest. Crispy. Nice balance sweet-bitter-acid.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, fruits, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of dusty hops, over ripe fruits, and malt, leading to a dry yeasty and odd finish. Thanks yespr for sharing
