Latin-style Witbier brewed with spices and passion fruit. 5 Lizard is a creamy and refreshing wheat beer with some spicy complexity and light touch of passion fruit for a delicious and slightly exotic flavor.

Very interesting take on Witbier. The lime and passion fruit work. If you like witbier then youíll enjoy this. Refreshing and good for summer. Fruity but not too sweet. Iím not so in to witbier but I still thought it was decent. Has that wateriness that many witbiers have. Serving: Bottle

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Aroma is nice passionfruit, medium body, medium carbonation, and thin small-bubble lacing. Taste is nice passionfruit and hints of coriander. I could crush a bunch of these outside in the summer, If you like passion fruit you should try this.

Julie says it reminds her of tropical. Can taste line and passion fruit. She gives 1.5. Overall she does not think she can drink a glass of it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Taste tart, fruity, funky earthy flavor. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is yeasty and wheaty with a hint of citrus and sour fruit. The appearance is cloudy with a small head. The taste is sour and all the good qualities are buried in it. The palate is average. Overall not a fan.

On tap @ Vino Bellisimo / Lima Oh --- Cloudy light straw color, thick white rim head, stripes of lace. Taste is sour wheat with a light dose of spice to complement. More of a sour beer than a wheat beer. Palate cleansing, good for a warm afternoon outdoors

Sample at Winking Lizard. Hazy bright yellow color with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of wheat and malt. Light-bodied with a pithy citrus character and notes of yeast and spice. The finish is fruity with a citrus and wheat aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft sample at Cincy Beerfest 2014 on Fountain Square. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Notes of big florals, lemon and lime citrus zest, grass, bread, wheat, and passionfruit. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, tart mouthfeel. I liked this. Iíd go back to this as a summer session sipper.

Aroma: The aroma is wheaty and sweet, a good amount of fruit, and some spice
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow color with a medium sized head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, very sweet, wheaty, dominating over some spice
Palate: The body is medium, it gets a little bit sticky, but has a decent mouthfeel overall
Overall Impression: This was an alright beer. It does what it is trying to do, and it doesnít have any major flaws, it is just a little too sweet for my tastes.

Bottle: Dense opaque pour, bright yellow sunshine color; looks like lighter Sunny-D or something. Foamy white head fades quickly to a moderately chunky collar. Aroma of heavy coriander & spices with nice underlying passion fruit, mango, & light guava, certainly more tropical fruit than citric, though there is a bit of lemon-lime towards the finish. Soft, bread & wheat notes all around. Taste hit with fresh grass & blanketed wheat up front, bready & mild. Coriander comes in big with substantially yeasty esters & spices... Almost tastes a bit like saison yeast. The hefty bill fades into a lighter, more fruity mid-palate & finish, complete with passion fruit, juicy orange, & lime peel. Hint of tartness, lingering wheat. Refreshing & pretty tasty.
