All malt Golden Ale brewed with Saaz hops. 5 Rabbit is an elegant beer that shows hints of light caramel and honeyed malt notes, carefully balanced with a sophisticated European noble hop aroma, with fruity and spicy flavors.

Draft at Gino’s East on Dearborn. Aroma is muted, just a bit of Noble Hops and citrus. Light bodied with prickly carbonation. Some grainy malt over a grassy Saaz hop profile. Pilsnerish. Bland overall but far from bad. Crisp, clean, dry finish.

Golden body with a small white head. The aroma is of light caramel malt and some mellow saaz hops. The flavor adds a bit of lemony citrus. Pretty refreshing on a hot day.

12 oz. bottle from notes. Pours a hazy golden with a hint of orange and a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have dry grass, pale toasted malts, doughy bread, mild florals with a hint of pepper. Pretty bland for my tastes, but I guess it is an ok blond though I probably won’t have it again.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle picked up at Binnys, clear yellow-orange pour with white head, aroma brought bread, grass, spice, saaz-type hops into some vanilla, honey, some touch of crackers. Taste is a mix of grass, bread, biscuit, vanilla, some spice, yeast, some spicy notes, finishing clean, dry. Decent.

Rating from a bottle of "5 Rabbit 5Rabbit Golden Ale (Cerveza Oro)," the body of this ale is a golden yellow, as promised, with a creamy white head. It’s got a light cereal aroma with a soft sugary sweetness and a hint of spices. The flavor presents a stronger malt taste with a hit of grassy bitterness and some quiet spices... or maybe I just expect that from this dandy brewery. The finish is quite dry. This is a good warm weather quencher. Brew on, 5 Rabbit!

Bottle: pours a very pretty slightly hazy yellow with a white head on it. Aromas are slightly fruity, with some wheat character also. The taste is nice, with definite wheat flavors and a nice grassiness as well. Good stuff.

An aroma that has a hoppy marijuana-oregano like character with a hint of pear and wheat. Appears clear yellow, thin ring of white foam. Taste is unique; like peach and wheat with some marijuana-ish aftertaste. Palate, ordinary. Overall, unique, interesting, and good!

Tap. Surprised at reviews! Tiny bit of lacing. Clear yellow-gold. Wheaty, corny nose. Good mouthfeel. Banana, slight corniness.

Bottle drunk 4/17/14
Light straw golden, small white head with moderate retention.
Dusty, grassy saaz in the nose are backed by some dry biscuit-like notes, touches of minerals and a fair amount of reserved fruitiness (apples, peaches, apricots). Some further white and black pepper notes, soft, grassy, bitterness and more baked bread.
Firm carbonation and peppery hops make this crisp and quite drinkable, with good attenuation and some sticky caramel flavors giving a touch of brown bread and sweetness. Well-balanced all around. I thought I tasted some tin-like notes at the start, but it’s mostly passing. Enjoyable, wish I would have tried some of their specialty beers.

Pours hazy golden with a white head. The aroma has light bready malt, pale malt, hint of spice, light veg, clean German spicy/floral hops and hints of wintergreen. It has a medium body with some smoothness ans some frothy carbonation. It starts with clean lager0-like smooth malt, mild toast, richness (not sweet), spicy hops and a bit of brightness overall. The finish has clean malt and lushness. Really nice.
