COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oaxacan-Style Dark Ale brewed with piloncillo sugar and chile ancho. 5 Vulture is a deep amber-colored ale with complex caramel aromas with toasted sugar notes and a long, elegant spicy finish. Roasted ancho chile is used to add depth and complexity, without adding heat or strong chile flavors.

Draft to pint. Looks decent; dark brown with thin white lacing. Smells a little skunky and metallic. Tastes like it smells but better with some bitterness. Mouthful is average. Good...for how cheap it is.

12oz bottle. Amber-brown body, respectable beige head. Big fruity ancho pepper aroma, coupled with some mild caramel chocolate. An interesting enough beer, sort of a Schwarz with some mild pepper tones. Not really balanced though, kind of a mess. Worthy of a tick, but probably not one to seek out.

12oz bottle from Pawola22 - thanks, Brian! Thinnish copper pour with a fast-evaporating head, leaving just a partial film of bubbles. Bitter chiles and burnt sugar in the nose and an impression of general harshness. Nice little bite on the tongue, and the chiles do tend to meld fairly well with the sweet caramel. Itís not poorly done, just overall not my kinda beer I think.

This poured a slightly hazy lighter brown to dark red color with a beige head. Aroma was toasted and lightly roasted malts, some spice notes, maybe form the chiles, and some dark fruits. Flavor was very light chile spice and heat, but detectable, rounded of dark fruit and toasted grains finish. Better than expected.

draft, pours hazed amber brown wh head. Nose of toasted malts, brown sugar, mild peppery notes. Really tame toasty nose. Flavors are toasted malts, mild pepper character, clean finish, that heat is there but itís refreshing,

Bottle w/ twist off cap. Sterile vanilla aroma. Brown liquid. Quite strong on the taste buds, a new strong sensation. Hah, a pretty good craft beer from minhas. A little too strong for me but I bet youíll like it.

Draft. Poured a clear light brown color. The head was thin and off white. Cloying diacetyl dominated the aroma. There were also whiffs of nondescript spices. Medium bodied and moderately sweet. Buttery caramel and spice flavors with a hint of chocolate. No chile pepper to speak of in my opinion.

Aroma is pale lager sweetness with a hint of spice. The flavor is similar to the aroma with a bit more spice and mixed with a slight tartness in the finish.

Draft... Dirty medium mahogany, light tan head, too light on the fringes of the body... The nose is restrained, just not much going on, light caramel, just sweet no pepper at all... Tastes so boring and a bad mouthfeel makes it hard to drink, light toasted sugar, more caramel, feel is rough and harsh, was so drained on sand pepper. Iím guessing this is the sandpaper... Another bad 5 rabbit but more drinkable then their other flagships
