COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gringolandia is an affectionate term used by many Latinos to refer to the United States. Weíre using the term to paint a picture of our collective 5 Rabbit experience as a Latin-based company in the exciting melting pot that is 21st century Chicagoland, and to brew beers that reflect that experience. Itís our tribute to the American craft beer movement.

After staking out our Latin credentials with several exciting, ingredient-based beers in the ď5″ series, we felt it was time to expand our range. These beers are our own interpretations of some popular craft beer styles, changed up a little to make them our own distinct beers different from anyone elseís.

Oh yes it is!Fabulosa Porter is a creamy, roasty porter with soft cocoa character. It is brewed with unmalted wheat for a smooth, milkshake texture. Chocolatey aroma, creamy cappuccino flavors, soft bittersweet finish.

12oz bottle. Unfiltered deep brown black body. Pretty steady rusty beige head. Cocoa, chocolate aroma. Sweet, sugary chocolate porter. Has some doughy, bakers chocolate. Nice flavors, but kind of sweet. Creamy, some Milk Stout tendencies. The wheat does indeed give it a milkshake texture, which isnít really what I want in a beer...but is pretty tasty. A respectable enough offering from a unique brewery.

12oz bottle 8/17/14 (Binnyís Mix A Six)-50į in Shaker-Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste of the same with some bitterness on the back end. This medium bodied brew is quite tasty.

Dark brown/black color; Light to medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of malt, dark chocolate & some coffee; Flavor of roasted malt, dark chocolate, some hops, and coffee; Slightly flat - but decent.

12oz bottle poured into old school Hoegaarden tulip. Really dark brown color but not black. Small head, fades into nothing. Aroma is balanced with light fume and mineral. Light malt, not sugar, sweetness. Flavor is similarly light and balanced, short aftertaste and light body. Its full of flavor yet easily drinkable. Might seem simple but actually very special.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 05/31/2014. Brownish-black color with a thin beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, chocolate and subtle hops. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, nuts and coffee. The finish is roasty with a dark chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

This poured a dark opaque brown body with a dinkus light brown head. The aroma was bittersweet chocolate, bitter coffee, and a light earthiness. Smooth. The taste is faithfully reflective of the nose, mayhaps with a tad more of the chocolate. Nice drink, finishing on a soft earthy note.

Fairly dark porter. Smells good with roasted nutty flavor. Has a bitter nutty flavor. Not really complex and did not have a pleasant after taste. Maybe will try this again, in case I got a bad one.

8oz on tap at Neonís. Very dark color, near-black. Thin ring of light brown head. Couple loose bits of lace. Good creamy cocoa flavor to this. Definitely get some of that wheat malt, works well in this dark porter. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter. Lighter carbonation, with kind of a soft texture. Medium body. Solid, flavorful porter. Not really a fan of the softer texture, but the flavor is very nice.

At Maproom. On the brown ale end of porters. Malt roasted, dark but not a very robust version. However it was still a rather nice sessionable beer. Serving: Tap

Pretty good. Balanced. Not too roasty. Slightly cocoa but balanced with just enough maltyness to make it very drinkable.
