Bottle pour, hazy yellow color with an average white head that mostly with good lacing. Aromas are mostly fruit, vinous and musty wheat. The almonds are noticeable and mix well with the Muscat and wheat. Very smooth and easy to drink, alcohol is well hidden. Nice beer.

Interesting appearance. Cloudy light yellow. Taste is like a combination of a belgian wheat or wit and some white wine. Somewhat dry and sweet. Grapes.

12oz bottle from one of the cousins in the barrio. Pours misty pale gold with quickly diminishing white head and trace lacing. Itís been a while since Iíve read the Diario. Nose is musty sweet wine. Flavor adds wheat and orange peel, but nothing like an Orange Julius. I donít detect the almonds or even George Drakoulias. Definitely a summer ale. Muscat flavor goes away quickly and makes way for a standard wheat ale. I canít believe itís 6.8% ABV, more like half that. RIP.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours nice and hazy, a white wine color accompanied by a foamy, finger and a half head. Nice aromas of almonds and citrus notes, mainly orange. The grapes and wheat come through on the tongue, as well as some spice notes. Bread and almonds are left on the finish. Although a bit too heavy to be a good summer day beer, it goes down well on a summer night. Also worth noting, this is my dadís new favorite beer.

Sample at The Daily Growler. Hazy straw color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grain, malt and fruit. Medium body with a subtle vinous character and notes of bready malt and wheat. The finish is wheaty with a fruity aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft pour on tap at Beer Under Glass 2013 (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich hazy yellow hue, good haziness, with frothy whitish head that sticks around as a firm film. Laces well. Aromas are gentle fruit, white grape, some apple. Touches of bready malt, applesauce, touches of grainy malt and dough. Some dry earthy hops. Initial is mellow body, touches of sweetness show white grape, mellow apple, bready malts. Green grapes, touches of gentle grass, bready malts and dough. Middle is a touch sweet, fruity grapes, touches of dryness and spice, mellow bread yeast as we round thw corner. Backend and finish is a touch more dry, spicy, applesauce and bread dough. A bit odd. Never really finishes for me.

10oz on tap at Cock & Bull in Hyde Park. Hazy pale yellow color. Good thin white head. Good lace. Medium body. Good crisp lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Nice zesty sweet taste. Citrus-peel, spice. Some definite wit-like qualities to this. Light hint of the white grape. Good complex wit / wheat beer. Seems like 5 Rabbit has stepped up their game lately.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a hazy gold with white lacing. Smells of wheat and grapes with some nuttiness. Tastes like it smells, only blander, with an average mouthfeel. Unoffensive, but forgettable.
