This tends to be a smoother version of the fest. The flavors seem to meld together better, the slight vanilla from the oak is a nice complement to the beer and the moutfeel tends to be creamier than the regular beer. The highlight of the annual Oktoberfest party.

Had this beer at the 5 Seasons Oktoberfest 2006. orange amber in color. Very malty and a great bitter finish. Smoother palate than the unOaked Ecstasy. Perfect American Märzen.
