An dark Bavarian HefeWeizen. Like our Big Blonde Hefeweizen, it’s brewed with over 50% red wheat and fermented twice using two distinctive Bavarian Weizenbier yeasts. It is an unfiltered, full bodied thirst quencher. Very lightly hopped, traditional Weizenbier flavors dominate, like banana and clove, but with a delicate roasted and caramel finish and only a touch of tartness.

This was called Morans dunkelweizen at the Alpharetta location (10/30/08). Very dark pour, barely any head. Aroma is rich and fruity. Nice malt profile on the nose and that leads to a pretty nice sweet malt tongue with some dark fruit and syrup. No bitterness that I detected. Spicy and pretty full mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Best beer of the lot. Strong malt flavors with lots of bubble gummy esters. A friend says ripe bananas, I get more Dubble Bubble. A bit watery, but not as bad as their other beers.
