A golden lager in the traditional Munich brewing style. This is what you find on tap in Bavaria instead of a Pilsener. With more malt character and less hop bitterness than a pilsener, our Helles is full flavored but crisp. Slightly lighter bodied than our Seven Sisters Münchner.

Clear golden color with good head. This one has always had a very "off" aroma and flavor to me. Kind of sulfury, leaves a bad aftertasted. Not in line with beers in this style that I have had in Germany.

Just got back from Munich and this just was not true to the style. It missed the ballance of the Munich beers and a bit to much tang at the end. Sorry

Hazy pour, with some froth and fair lacing. The aroma s of hay, cereal and (mildly) sour milk. The flavor is very "grainy", almost like rye or wheat. The hops are there, and do an excellent job of keeping this honest and balanced. This is probably a little "toasty" for the style, but the taste is so fresh.

A very good representation of the style. Just enough malt and just enough hops to really make this a fine light beer. Not bad for the ladies who like good beer but don’t want a malt gut. G-rat

While not in the same ball park as some other American versions of Dortmunder it is drinkable

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 26. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Atlanta Georgia. Dennis, the owner, treated us royally. He kept bringing sample after sample to our table. We were given every courtesy and treated very well. Thanks to their fine staff. This brew poured a hazy yellow body and left a good lacing. It had a mild malt aroma and a smooth light mouthfeel. The flavor was that of malt and dough. This was an unfiltered sample.

Pale Golden color with a creamy light head. The aroma is faint but notes of butter & citrus. Flavor is smooth and mild with a nice malt profile in the mouthfeel. This was a pretty well made Helles that definately gets my attention.

Surprisingly big crisp malt. I wasn't expecting something quite this tasty. Light citrusy hops add a little bitterness and make this an extremely refreshing brew without resorting to cheap brewing tricks.
