Aroma of sweet dark caramel and dark chocolate malts with a touch of dark fruits. Body starts fairly full and dark malty sweet with a touch of smoky peat and brown sugar before a semi-dry roasty dark chocolate finish with a touch of light fruity tartness. Could use a little more sweetness, but still pretty tasty. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Nicely balanced - does’t go too bitter or roasty. Didn’t get to write too many notes on this one - was having dinner with the boss - but this was one of the best beers that I’ve ever had. DO NOT start out with this beer, if you’re having more than one -- it makes otherwise decent brews pale in comparison. craftbeerdesign (772), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA

Smell: Roasted malt aroma with full notes of fire-scorched grains reminiscent of French Roast coffee.
Taste: Creamy dark chocolate and rich mocha with an everso subtle sweetness. Very faroff hint of oven-roasted fruit. Burnt grain flavor with plenty roasty bitterness. The bitterness eases up somewhat for a smooth, roasty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Low carbonation. Incredibly creamy mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Tasty, sure, but it’s that smooth, creamy mouthfeel that really sells me!
