muddy dark brown, creamy tan head, rich nutty chocolate aroma with light smokey earthy hops, rich chocolate flavor blended with caramel to add complexity and a hint of sweetness, lots of nutty character, touch of roasted, light bitter finish,

very creamy body, flavor comes through a lot lighter until it warms, the nutty character came out a lot stronger on cask but is still a nice presence on draft

Tap at 5 North. Poured a very hazy brown color with a small creamy tan head. Roasty and nutty aroma with light coffee notes and a hint of tea. The flavor was roasty with a hint of coffee. Some milk chocolate as well. Light carbonation and light mouthfeel. Light-medium bodied.

On tap at the brewpub in Alpharetta. Dark amber pour, fluffy, thick off-white head. Strong chocolately/coffee aroma with hints of berries - had to ask the barkeep if he poured me the stout instead! Flavor has prominent chocolate notes, some coffee and a sweet fruity back end with a nutty finish. Thick enough mouthfeel. Solid brewpub brown

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2007 Appearance: Deep, dark brown body with a light beige head. Smell: Light, sweet-smelling over-toasted nuts. Taste: Rich maltiness, with more of those toasted nuts. Some chocolate flavors develop as it warms. A gentle roasted bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Very soft carbonation. Drinkability: Quite! I clearly recall it made for very easy early-Sunday drinking.

Very dark brown. aroma of nutty malt. Slightly nutty flavor, lots of malt. very tasty. very malty. Presence of a traditional English Ale. Light Bodied. easy drinking. Think I’ll have another.
