3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ChainGangGuy (3834) - Canton, USA - JUL 10, 2011
16 ounce pint - $5.00 at 5 Seasons North in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Appearance: Lightly hazed, dark copper body sporting steady streams of effervescence and a small, albeit creamyish, off-white head.
Smell: Strong scent of concentrated resins and pithy citric citrus fruits with a backing of modestly scented malts underneath.
Taste: Lightly sweetish, bready malts with slight cookie accents to it. Earthy, strongly resinous (but overly so) with a lemon oil taste. Moderate bitterness throughout. The resinous herbaceousness and citrus oil remain firmly affixed until the bitter, dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: It’s a good, hearty India Pale Ale.

Nice Citrusy hops with a toasty malt. Again this is darker in flavor than expected, bit it’s good.
