COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer stretches the Saison style in a new direction. We made it big and extremely hoppy. It has a huge, fresh hop aroma - spicy and citrusy. It just smells so good. We think it turned out so well we actually felt comfortable enough naming it after a skunk!

on tap @ 5 Seasons North. Arrived to the table in a snifter glass with a deep red color and a 1 finger off white head. The nose is filled with layers of citrus hops, light spices and a touch of yeast esters. Very smooth and round body with notes of banana, orange peel, light pepper and a gentle bitterness. Very drinkable for a high gravity beer with a nice complexity. This is a much heavier and darker Saison and is not true to style. The beer finishes with a nice citrus bitterness followed by some light fruit notes and sweet malts.

ChainGangGuy (3834) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JUL 11, 2011
Appearance: Served up a clear, mahogany-hued body with a tall, meringue-like, just slightly off-white head.

Smell: Slight veneer of caramel over notes of sun-kissed citrus rinds, moist herbs, sour-minded fruits, a sliver of phenolic smokiness.

Taste: Fast impression of bready malts with a lightning fast flash of caramel sweetness. Then, in pushes a sourish fruitiness, an underscore of earthiness, and a taste of smoked fruit skins. The hop profile provides plenty of bitterness, but also a firm citric character. Still a bit sour and now somewhat warming. A few crumbs of late-arriving rock candy. Body lightens towards the full-flavored, gassy finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-high carbonation.

Overall: It’s a very interesting beer, I’ll easily give it that much and one of the more engaging saisons released by 5 Seasons.

Draft at North location. Pours a deep red with a thin off white head. Scent is yeasty, skunky and citrus hoppy. Taste is pepper, fruit and hoppy. Not like any saison I have had so far. Complex
