COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Warning: This beer is hoppy!
It has 10 different hops and over 3 pounds of hops per barrel! It has a big citrus aroma and is unfiltered, and therefore cloudy, to keep all the hop goodness in there. A deep garnet-red comes from the British crystal malt. My parents always wanted me to have a plan B in case the brewing career didn’t work out. So here is my Plan B, Mom and Dad. A religious experience. Pretty much the perfect beer IMHO. You don’t smell this beer, it smells you. Hop aroma leaps out of the glass into your nostrils, and the party commences. This beer is so good, it makes me want to play hopscotch. Fresh hop nirvana. Intensely, acutely, overtly, fragrantly, opulently hoppy. This is the Chronic! Thick, lush, abundant lacing on the glass. Big, bodacious, frothy white head. Beauteous opaque gold-n-garnet color. Flavor makes me want to get up and dance. So good, it can only be done adjective justice by the inspiration and creation of a new word - "ludicrious". You can put Plan B on my headstone, ’cause I wanna take this stuff with me to my grave. From there, on to Heaven and Plan A. Thank you, Crawford!

Draught at the brewpub. Pours coppery gold with just a touch of haze under a firm, tight, head of white. Citrusy flowery hop aroma. Well balanced, with a nice mix of drying hop bitterness and subtle malt. Nice long dry finish.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2007 Rated as Hop Bomb express in late May on cask and dry-hopped: Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with an airy well-lacing white head. Aroma of big, fresh, grapefruity piny hops and soft caramel malt. Body starts fairly full and toasty malty sweet with a hint of toffee and big citrusy flavor hop balance toward a smooth, bittersweet finish.

On cask at the grand opening 1/19/07: Pours a transparent copper bronze with a large, frothy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt with good fresh grapefruity hoppy notes. Body starts with pleasant biscuity malty sweetness balanced with bittering hops toward a fresh, bittersweet finish. A good IPA.

Opaque amber color, with a thin white head. Great lacing. Small citrus aroma. Major bite, huge hop (piney) bitterness. Long lasting IPA finish... just the way it should be.
