I wish this had more head, but that could be a sympton of the sample pour. The full hefeweizen glass pour that I saw after making my rating certainly had plenty of head and it lasted. Cloudy yellow. Great banana aroma. Good wheat underneath. The only problem I had with the beer is the flavor is almost too sweet.

Oct 4, 2008 Great, estery banana aroma. Cloudy tannish gold. Paper and spice flavor. Alcohol is not well-hidden. Medium-light body. Under-carbonated. Bittering starts to show through at the very end.

Aug 17, 2008 On tap at brewpub. A cloudy golden with a decent size head. Aroma is light banana and clove. Light sweet flavor, a bit bland.

Aug 15, 2008 Appearance: Cloudy, golden body with a small, white head.
Smell: Wheaty aroma with all of the accompanying notes of banana and spices.
Taste: Malted wheat with a sharp tanginess but only a light sweetness. Strong flavors of banana, clove, and coriander. Spicy Noble hops, lightly bitter. Finishes dry with a lingering taste of toasted bananas.
Mouthfeel: Medium-low body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Oh, it’s a hefe alright!

Sep 30, 2007 Tap @ 5 North. Poured a hazy yellow color with a large white head. Clove and light banana with a hint of lemon make up the aroma. The flavor was malty with banana and lemony wheat notes. Mild clove on the finish with a light body.

bigger body and more sweetness, the extra sweetness brings out more of the banana to balance the clove, even a bit more banana in the aroma creates the needed balance there, overall a very nice improvement over the original batch
