Commercial Description:
This one is sick.
It's the Quinte55ence aged for 5 weeks in a Woodford Reserve whisky barrel.
Walk away. Don't make eye contact with it. And don't show fear. Just walk away.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Almost black, opaque ale with a small, creamy, lightly tanned head. The aroma is a vinous, malty blend of chocolate, sourmash, wood and toasted nuts. There’s more going on, but my unsophisticated nose is overwhelmed… good enough for now. Flavor-wise, you’ve got chocolate malt and candy sugar sweetness with mild sourmash and bacterial pungency and light alcohol and hop bitterness… is that a whisper of coffee? Full-bodied and velvety with almost no carbonation… none needed. Warming mocha finish. Many thanks are extended to kp via boboski for the chance to sample this world class rarity!

bottle and big thanks to boboski: pours a very dark brown with no head, but a thin brown line around edge of glass. aroam of soem bourbon and oak, vanilla and cherry hints also. some very dark fruits come thru very well and is a wuite intense aroma that i wish i could describe a bit better. and if an aroma can be velvety and smooth this would be ti. flavour is also very smooth fro such a large alcohol content and the bourbon. the flavours are bourbon soaked rasins and a few ather undescribable dark fruits. a little of the oak comes out and the bourbon too. a also get a very small thouch of roast. again velvety smooth on the flavour.

Big thanks to bobo for the opportunity to try this one! Pours a dark chestnut brown with a thin light tan head that pulls back to the middle of the glass. Moderate bourbon and oak aromas, alcohol, spice. The overall aroma gets sweeter as it warms. While the whole aroma is somewhat intense, the oak doesn’t get buried beneath the whisky. Sweet start to the taste, then a helping of heat, and towards the finish a lot of the quad characters come out along with the bourbon. I was expecting the bourbon to dominate the quad tastes, but they’re still indentifiable. A great brew.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, alchohol, whiskey, and wood. The flavor has notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, syrup, wood, and whiskey. The body is thick and lovely. Great beer.

I had this special beer at an Über dinner. What a big f’n beer! What the hell style is this?? a Quint i guess. Very Unique! Very dark black. Slightly off white head. Served in a small snifter glass. Looks like a Imperial Stout. Smells and Tastes like a Belgian... Something? Aroma of very sweet malt. A little roasted flavor but lots of candy sugar. Very smooth and creamy. Very dry finish. Sooo much malt sweetness and still very balanced. SMOOTH VANILLA ADDED TO THIS ONE. A GOOD AMOUNT OF GOOD OL’ AMERICAN BOURBON BURN TO ADD TO THE OVERWELMING PALATE. THIS ONE IS MUCH EASIER TO DRINK. ALMOST TOO EASY....
