Commercial Description:
This one is sick.
It's the Quinte55ence aged for 5 weeks in a Woodford Reserve whisky barrel.
Walk away. Don't make eye contact with it. And don't show fear. Just walk away.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, alchohol, whiskey, and wood. The flavor has notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, syrup, wood, and whiskey. The body is thick and lovely. Great beer.

Bottle acquired in trade. Poured a dark black color with brown edges and an a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of dark fruits, wood, whisky, and vanilla. Tastes of vanilla, bourbon, wood, dark fruits, and chocolate. I liked the way the Barrel Aging was done on this. The more I drank, the more I liked it!

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Almost black, opaque ale with a small, creamy, lightly tanned head. The aroma is a vinous, malty blend of chocolate, sourmash, wood and toasted nuts. There’s more going on, but my unsophisticated nose is overwhelmed… good enough for now. Flavor-wise, you’ve got chocolate malt and candy sugar sweetness with mild sourmash and bacterial pungency and light alcohol and hop bitterness… is that a whisper of coffee? Full-bodied and velvety with almost no carbonation… none needed. Warming mocha finish. Many thanks are extended to kp via boboski for the chance to sample this world class rarity!

Bottle: Pours a very dark viscous mahogany with a thin ring of tan bubbles. Nice, dense oaky whiskey complex aroma has good, rich caramely Belgian malt and dark fruit. Body starts very full, rich and caramely with a little doughy yeast and good balance of oaky whiskey toward a full, bready enjoyable finish with great complexity. This one is really well done.

Poured a hazy deep brown color with no head. The aroma is of whiskey, vanilla, brown sugar, dark fruits, and alcohol. The flavor was sweet with notes of red apples, caramel and brown sugar. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium-full bodied with nice warmth.
