COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the original seven Munich breweries that hosted Oktoberfest, THE beer celebration dating back to 1571. It is a deep rich amber Bavarian Lager (known as a Vienna Style to beer aficionados) with a full, round voluptuous body and a very malty finish. Enjoy with pork, roast chicken, sausages and mixed grills.

Nice lager aroma with whiffs of caramel. Whisky colored brew. Tangy and hoppy, mildly sweet. Nutty with a good woody bitter finish. Pretty good.

Malty within the Vienna style, you must like the sweetness that this style has to enjoy it. I have had much better Viennas

Somewhat malty, filtered clear amber color. Grain (wheat and corn) detected in body and aroma. Light body. I'm not sure whether it was watery or subtle, probably some of both.

Draft, tall lager mug. Caramel malt (M); flowery, citric hops (L). Straightforward, clean lager aroma. Light ruby-red color with a thin eggshell colored head. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: tasty, but a little watery.

Draft at 5 Seasons. Thanks to Dennis and his fine attentive staff for the manner in which thedm and I were treated during our visit to this establishment. This beer formed a small sized off-white head with fine-medium bubbles that mostly dissipated. The body was transparent and it contained some lively carbonation with an orange hue. The nose was malty and the flavor was lightly bitter with a lingering aftertaste. The mouthfeel was somewhat tingly and this was a medium-full bodied beer with fair lacing.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 25. This draft brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Atlanta Georgia. Dennis, the owner, treated us royally. He kept bringing sample after sample to our table. We were given every courtesy and treated very well. Thanks to their fine staff. This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized off white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange brown colored body and a fair lace. It had a Munichner malt aroma and a smooth flat mouthfeel. The flavor was a nice medium malt hop one.

5 Seasons brewpub in Atlanta - This brewpub didn't impress me too much. Yellow/orangish appearance. Flavor is slightly malty and smooth but seriously one dimensional. It served its purpose as a decent beer to have while playing pool.

Little to no hop aroma. Subtle malt flavor throughout w/ a dry finish. Not at all what I expected.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2005 Rerate Much more nuttiness, caramel and back end citrusy hoppiness - much improved Original 2.8 This just did not do a whole lot for me - not a whole lot of character to it. No apparent aroma, decent dark orange appearance. Slight hoppy flavor - but was very muted compared to the Sledgehammer I had prior to this.

A nice malty dark lager. This is really a good example of the style.
