COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the original seven Munich breweries that hosted Oktoberfest, THE beer celebration dating back to 1571. It is a deep rich amber Bavarian Lager (known as a Vienna Style to beer aficionados) with a full, round voluptuous body and a very malty finish. Enjoy with pork, roast chicken, sausages and mixed grills.

Clear golden-copper body. Malty nose of bread crusts and light spice. Nice malty character, medium sweet with moderate bitterness in the finish. Fairly complex in subtle ways and not at all cloying. A nice, subtle Vienna. Not bad for the requisite brewpub amber.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2005 Amber with thick white head. Aroma of sweet malts, cereal grains, and bready lager yeast. Taste is grainy, with a chewy bready character. Well crafted and balanced lager.

scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 1, 2006
Clear sparkling amber, creamy white head. Nose of toasted caramel and toffee malt, touches of bread throughout. Nice balance with toasty flavors of more caramel and toffee, and a light bitterness keeping the sweet malt in check. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, clean toasted malt finish. A good session brew…

Draft at the brewery: Poured golden yellow/amber with a small white head. Light earthy aroma with some fruit. Mild earthy hop flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Very well done.

wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 16, 2004
Draft, tall lager mug. Caramel malt (M); flowery, citric hops (L). Straightforward, clean lager aroma. Light ruby-red color with a thin eggshell colored head. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: tasty, but a little watery.

Pint at brewery - Aroma of toasty lager malts with a touch of hops. Pours copper with a small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is crisp and clean. An easy drinking brew.

not my favorite beer, but also not my fave style either. virtually no hops to speak of, with some carmel and malt and some earthy flavors. blah, take it or leave it, just very basic for 5 seasons IMO

Pretty enjoyable, I am glad this is on tap everytime I visit Atlanta. This is always a good first beer of the evening at the brewery. Hoppy, somewhat herbal nose and just a hint of sweet caramel as well. Pretty savory on the palate, with some sweet breadiness, but could have just a bit more fruit characters.
