COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saisons are a Belgian farmhouse style that use a special yeast that produces wonderfully complex flavors of tropical fruit, spices and a musty earthiness. (The yeast probably originated in a winery many years ago.) This beer is a simple gold color, with a simple dry texture. It’s nice and light, yet infinitely complex as the yeast character really shines though. Very drinkable.

Clear light golden color with white head. Nice dry spice, dusty pale malt aromas. medium body. Dry pale malt, industrial pale lager flavors--missed something

Cloudy, murky yellow,, with big dense white head. Smells flowery, slightly medicinal, and yeasty. Flavor is some banana, some vanilla, and subtle, grassy hops finish. A little more boozy than I would’ve preferred, but still tasty.

Draft at Westside. Hazy yellow with a white head. Scent is spice, lemon and wheat. Taste is lemon, wheaty and spicy.

Appearance: Lightly hued yellow, with a hazed body, and steady effervescence feeding an inch of compact white foam.

Smell: A small sniff of pils and wheat, a passing nosegay, and little elements of lemon and spice.

Taste: Seems to be a light blend of pils and wheat malt. Slightly sweet. Sweetness is quickly cut by accents of clove and star anise, then, but floral hints and some soft lemon. Modest bitterness. Drying and fairly crisp as you approach the finish with a lingering spiciness into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Fairly good, I always prefer the amply carbonated, relatively lighter ABV saisons.

16 oz draft pours a hazy golden orange color with a nice white head. Aromas of grass bread and light floral hops. Light bodied with a nice dry finish, a nice saison
