On tap at the brewpub. Dark walnut, creamy mocha head. Roast, coffee and chocolate nose. Taste is semisweet transitioning to a pleasantly bitter finish. Somewhat dry. Creamy full body, but a crispness to the carbonation. Event stout.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: Delivered to the table a very dark brown body with a very thin, beige head.
Smell: A noted robust espresso note atop a nutty-scented, roasty mix of malts with a sliver of baker’s chocolate.
Taste: Smooth espresso with ground up toasty bread crusts and a light, ineffectual chocolate accent. Low sweetness overall. Mildly leafy hops, low bitterness. Dry, roasty (both from the malts and espresso) finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lightly carbonated.
Overall: Pretty good!
