COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We created a new beer inspired by "bourbon" and aged it in 5 different bourbon (or whiskey) barrels. We wanted a beer that would be interesting enough on its own, but that would really show off the character of each of the different bourbons and barrels. And so we did. It’s the beautiful color of bourbon and, like its boozey counterpart, has barley, wheat and even corn in the mash. It’s kind of somewhere between a bourbon and a beer. So we call it the Mash Up!
Pappy Van Winkle is aged for 20 years and is easily the cult bourbon made today. It is incredible stuff. And we feel privileged to be able to use their barrel. Quite a humbling honor really. This version reflects the soft subtleties of this amazing bourbon.

Bottle generously shared by burg326. Cheers on your wedding, sir! Pours a hazy copper-red with a small white head. Nose is huge bourbon, vanilla, wood, caramel, toffee, booze, and all matter of deliciousness. Flavor is similar with booze, toffee, caramel, vanilla, and wood. Really outstanding, yet boozy, but considering everything that went into it, doubly awesome.

750ml bottle corked and caged, poured a copper red color with aromas of bourbon, black pepper, caramel, sweet malt, and some vanilla. Flavors were a nice blend of caramel and vanilla with smooth bourbon in the aftertaste. Surprisingly real drinkable, and no flavor out shined the other, real happy I was able to have some of this quality beer.
