Big thanks to GAManiac for this gem. Hazy orange-red with plenty of floaties. Tangy red wine, wood, floral citrus zest. Flavor is dried citrus fruits, red wine, oak, light toasted malt. Springy carbonation, lightly creamy. Nice dry, woody finish. Lingering tart red wine and citrus. A little acidic, but not bad. Some heat on the finish, as well. Still...very, very good.

Pours a deep clear reddish amber with a small bubbly beige head that recedes to a small cap.
Smell is sweet and fruity with some grapes and plenty of Belgian yeast with a light spiciness.
Taste also has a very sugary sweet character up front and some spicy yeast. The alcohol and wine barrel are very evident in the finish with a big burn after each sip.
Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with soft carbonation and lots of red wine character.
This is a big sweet saison and I think the wine barrel probably mellows the sweetness of the base beer a bit. Not his best BA saison (Burgundian, Crouching Tiger....so good), but that’s a really high bar.
