3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Displays a light golden-copper body with a 2-inch high head of off-white foam. Steady streams of effervescence cling to the inner sides of the glass.
Smell: Sweetened, water-logged bread -- take a couple packets of table sugar, mix it into a little water (no, not enough for a simple syrup), and then pour it onto some crustless sliced white bread -- that’s what we’re talkin’ about. Mild hint of peach, maybe apricot.
Taste: Follows along with the nose fairly well, again with sweetened, moistened bread with vague fruity accents. Hint of spice and no more than a slight bitterness. Drying, bready finish, though that light fruitiness lingers somewhat.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: It’s alright, you know, just something light, forgiving, and food friendly, in the same vein as their Golden Number Ale.
