Bottle @ Brugmansia/Fonefan US Tasting, April 2010. Pours unclear yellow with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is yeast, oak, orange and fruit. Lively carbonation. Full bodied. Flavor is very dry and spicy. A bit of warmth from alcohol. Nice one

shared 750ml bottle. pours a deep golden color with a 1/4" white head. banana, clove, spice and yeast nose with light oak lingering. medium creamy body with more banana, citrus, spice and light oak. spicy finish with some warmth, citrus and light bitterness followed by deeper oak tones.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Good strong fruit esters and soft oak aroma. Clean medium bodied palate and a tangy stone fruit taste with oak throughout.

[ Trade by GAManiac ]. Unclear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, moderate hoppy, apricot, moderate yeasty, fruity, overripped fruit, spicy, oak. Flavor is moderate sweet, light moderate fruit acidic and light moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100416]

750ml bottle acquired in trade. Poured a medium golden color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of spiciness, oaky, earthy, musty, and vanilla. Tastes of spiciness, oak, fruity, vnailla, and citrus.

Bottle. Cloudy orange colour. Mild vinous flavour. A little citric like white wine. Hint of vanilla. Some alcohol in the finish.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, earthy yeast, wood, vanilla, tart fruit. Taste of citrus, chardonnay, tropical fruits, vanilla, some oak, and light alcohol in the finish.

Appearance: Pours out a lightly hazed, deep orange-gold body with a thinning, wispy, white head. Smell: Sweet-smelling nose of crisp honey candy with persistent, yet subtle hints of vanilla and spice and light citrus. Upon slight warming, a pear and apple fruitiness awakens. Taste: Honey-glazed, candi sugar-encrusted pils malts with a tangy touch of wheat and the pleasing floral character of fresh, sun-bathed meadow flowers. Small hint of chilled lemon juice with a fruitiness coming across as a apple and pear combination. Then, in comes a taste of vanilla cream dusted with coriander and a spicy, oaky aspect. Drying finish with lingering touches of oak and clover honey. Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Smooth, soft mouthfeel. Drinkability: This drinks very nicely, with very little alcohol presence beyond its warming nature. The standard Haiku is good, this French Oak-aged Trippel Lindy version is a step above that, but it’s not quite as spectacular as the Kunde Estate Cabernet Barrel-aged Trippel Cab.
