COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5 Stones Craft Brewing Company Zero Anniversary Ale celebrates our excitement and hard work to even get to the starting line of opening a brewery. This ale is similar to a Belgian-style farmhouse saison with our unique additions. We use imported pilsner, aromatic wheat, and acidulated malts along with local Texas honey and Tettnang hops to give a fruity, flowery, and spicy complexity to this ale. Two Belgian yeast strains contribute aroma, flavor, and a dry finish. Thank you so much for sharing in our celebration. Try it now and age some to enjoy with future 5 Stones anniversaries!

Copper-orange with a lasting, pillowy, cream colored head. Aroma of citrus, bubblegummy Belgian yeast, coriander, and bread. Taste is very yeasty; fairly sweet, but also fairly bitter with a definite spicy and boozy character and a little bit of metal. Medium bodied, a touch fizzy, crisp.

Darkish golden and hazy. Fairly drinkable. A faint funk but mostly honey through and through. Bright and slightly spicy finish with this one. Very sweet.

Bottle:   Darker straw, large fluffy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Bright zesty nose, a little barnish, some sweet straw/hay, with a little Belgian flair.   A little brash on the tongue, however it is bright.   Noticeable alcohol, and tiz high @ 8.5%.   Zesty, spicy, with a little funk.   I never thought I would say this about a Saison, but maybe wait a bit for it to cool down?   It is bright and zesty, could stand to be a bit more floral but it does have a somewhat citrus based zestiness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Not bad, a little brash but different.   Thanks Bill!

Spec’s, Houston 750ml: Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is honey, herbs, spice, fruits, and citrus. My first sip of this took me aback a little. It seemed very much herbal.... looking at the description now, it seems like what I was tasting was the honey, but it manifested itself in a more medicinal way than I would have liked. Otherwise, as I grew accustomed to the taste, it became slightly more palatable, but still not something I would outstanding.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a ton of honey and biscuit notes The flavor is a mix of honey, flowers, rosemary and some light pine. There is also a bit of yeast in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Flavor is off-putting as well. Lots of plastic, celery, and smog. Salt, yeast, spice, grass, and some light malt sweetness.
