UPDATED: AUG 4, 2010 Pours a three finger white head that fades quickly to a thin rocky layer, leaving traces of lace. Clear pale straw yellow color. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Sweet, hoppy and adjunct nose. Flavor is lacking but . . . sweet, smooth, hints of hops and corn?? Dry finish. $1.95 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma. Contract brewed by Olde Saratoga Brewing Co in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Grabbed a case of this "new-one-to-me" at my local shop for $10. Can’t pass on $0.42/bottles. Have consumed most of them and decided to pour one of the last ones into a pint glass for review. Pour a darker-than-expected honey gold. Not as thin and transparent as expected. Lots of globs floating throughout. Not a turnoff, but not the prettiest thing to look at either. No head at all. No lace. The nose is sweet with floral tones and pale fruits. Decent body. Carbonation holds up what could be a thin beer. Drinks easy enough. The dominant flavors in this beer are fruity: apple, pear, honeysuckle. This is one of the sweeter lagers I’ve had. Mild bitterness on the finish. Hops are near absent. Not a terrible beer, but not one I’d seek out actively. This beer did remind me of the reason I like to pour into glassware. After consuming a dozen or more of these straight from the bottle, the one I poured into a glass was just a more pleasant experience.

Pale light golden in color with white head. Minimal aroma. Light malt flavor...clean, a bit of apple/lemon zest. A light, clean lager.

Oh yeah! New England in a glass. Sittin’ here at O’Brien’s in Temple, Texas. The first thing I thought of when I took my firs sip was Boston, American History and the New England coast. This beer just captures so much in a bottle. Hazy yellow. White ring head. Crisp malts. Balanced hops. A lively palate and bright finish. Prost!

Pours a golden honey amber color in the glass. Very nice toasty malt aroma, kinda like fresh wheat toast. Nice malty flavor, with really no hops to speak of. Overall, it’s very drinkable and good for charity. I might buy a 6 pk of this over the summer.

Great cause, not so great beer. Pours clear gold with basically no head, just a bit of fizzy action. Sweet, somewhat floral aroma. Taste is also on the sweet side with a bit of hay and barnyard funk.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear gold with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is corn malt and skunk. Thin mouthfeel with a skunky wheat and metallic finish. Not much going on with this one.

Picked up a bottle on clearance at Sam’s Quick Stop. Near clear golden amber pour with no real ring of white head. Smells of corn and sweetness. Flavor is similar, but with a tinny, metalic hop bitterness. Strongly reminds me of the lighter ESL’s i’ve had, but with more hop character (but not much more). A little worse than typical bmc. I do actually like the concept of donating back some of the proceeds. too bad the beer couldn’t be better.

Sample at Julio’s Spring Beerfest. Our troops deserve better than this. Found this to be worst than most of the low end macros out there. Not a fan.
