Complex combination of fruity esters and rich malt character, aroma of raisins, plums. Low sour aroma, dark reddish-brown to brown in color. Ivory to light tan head color. Along with some sherry-like character, producing a "sweet-and-sour" profile.

Bottle at 508. Pours a deep ruby brown with a medium sized white to beige head. Sweet roast, soft cocoa, fruity malt and a touch of paper and some light acid. Sweet fruit, oxidization, gentle tart acid, musk and faint funk. Gets a bit heavy on the musty paper, nice mouthfeel but the flavors seem a bit off.

Bottle at the brewpub. Pours amber brown with a beige head. Blackberry fruity aroma, with light funky yeast, a hint of malty sweetness, and toasted malts. The flavor has a dark fruity tartness, light funky yeast, and bready toasty notes. Good balance of sweetness and sourness.
