Bottle at the brewpub, on January 28, 2012
As "American Strong Ale" at 10% ABV, figured it should be rated here?
Hazy amber to brown color, micro bubbles tan to light brown head. Sweet, alcohol, ripe fruits scent. Sweet, malty, fresh, alcohol taste. Malty sweet aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Moussy mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Some bite from the alcohol.

tgncc (1909) - Bellmore, New York, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Bottle at 508. The aroma is fruit, alcohol, vegetables, wet mop. The appearance is hazy, cloudy opaque amber, no head to speak of. The flavor is like the aroma, but weaker. Very ittle carbonation (could it be poor bottling?) The inish is sweet, pine hops. Medium in body. Ok, not great.

Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Sweet and hoppy aroma, with just a touch of diacetyl. The flavor has floral hops, some light sweetness, and a nice bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle split with Andrew and Brendan at the Brewery. I liked this guy more than the Belgian Strong. Notes of hops, bitterness, sweet malts and cherry. Solid American strong.
