Draught > Gingerman. Fruity and sweet. A tad hoppy and biscuity to boot. Taste big and boozy going down. Lots of different stuff going on w/ this one.

This definitely looks the part of an Old Ale... itís dark orange/brown in color with an off-
white head and minimal, slow carbonation. Great lacing! The nose reminds me of a pub
table, woody, earthy, grainy, and with the definitive characteristics of an ale vermented
with English yeast. In the mouth it has a hop flavor thatís much like dirt-covered soap
packaged in an old wooden chest. Itís full-bodied and, yes, dirty, with very little (if any)
residual sweetness. Toasted malts seem to make up most of the malt profile, and the
alcohol presence is indeterminable by the flavor. (512) did a really great job on making a
tasty, traditional, low-alcohol Old Ale. Not quite up to the standards of an anniversary
beer in my opinion, though.

Pint glass at Alamo Lake Creek- served a slightly murky darkened amber, white ring around the glass that did try to lace. Aroma of candi sugar, hops, caramel with hops, milk (yeah, that was a little weird), and some bread. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is firm for the feel with sweetness and hops in the middle, finish is firm, complete, and mildly acidic. Been awhile since I had this style, but it reminded me of what a well made bitter could be. Hmm...
