COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The (512) India Pale Ale is a big, aggressively dry hopped American IPA with smooth bitterness (~65 IBU) balanced by medium maltiness. 100% US malted grains, loads of hops, and great Austin water create an ale with apricot and vanilla aromatics that lure you in for more.

On tap at Holy Grail and had side by side with Franconia dipa. This had less aroma (slight pine) and much less hops but wat was thicker with more lacing. Well balanced but the lack of hop flavor made me question ipa relevance. Still enjoyed drinking it

An above-average IPA. The aroma was piney and citrus but could have been stronger. Nice copper color with a white head. Average weight with a carbonated sharpness. Not heavy at all. Good blend of malt and hops with the latter taking front stage. Grapefruit is what I always detect. Great with chili and always a good staple beer.

Draft 4/14/10 (Opal Divines-Freehouse)-Pours a dark golden with a small white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of the same. This is a nice medium bodied IPA.

Tap Pour at Ginger Man - Austin, TX - deep amber pour, thick whitish head that has medium retention. Aroma is very hoppy - mostly citrus variety with some orange, grapefruit, and has an overall sweet character. Flavor is aggressive with the hops, but in a good way - lots of light fruit, high level of bitterness, but a natural sweetness that keeps things working. Palate is slightly oily and resinous. Good example of a ’single’ IPA

Deep copper/brown color poured into a pint glass... Sweet vanilla aroma with the same for an initial taste. Similar to thirty bucket IPA in that the finish is more bitter than smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

draft. hazed amber body with a fine-bubbled off-white head and lasting retention. subtle, creamy, soft texture with bright and zingy American hop acid, tropical fruit flavors and aromas with a sweetish amber malt base. light yogurt yeast quality throughout and a growing sweet vegetable stew flavor growing late.

Tap flight at Freetail. Medium to medium-dark amber color with a beige head. Hop fragrance. Taste is honeydew, casaba melon, lemongrass, and tropical fruits. Very interesting hop bomb flavor profile. It’s different than the standard fare and I like it. Drinkable but not the palate is well designed. Nice lacing on the glass. A very well done beer.

Draught at Opal Divine’s Freehouse, Austin, Oct. 18. Pours a clear deep gold with a small frothy white head. Nice hoppy and fruity aroma, a bit sweet as well. Flavour of resiny hops, grain and bready malt (7-). Decent bitter finish. Average bodied. I liked the aroma slightly more then the flavour but overall it’s pretty good.
