On tap @ Hopdoddy, SO-CO...Delicious! Lighter than some of the other local IPAs offered...The intent was not to over-load prior to the burger!! Back to beer: P: Served on tap in a chilled-goblet... A: Golden-orange, filtered, leaving a nice lacing 1.5" head...GREAT! T: Bright, clean nice hops up front...good tasty citrus (grapefruit), along with some other nice lingering pine notes.... P: Medium carbonation, medium bodied, great for the style :~) O: One of the best austin (or if you prefer TX beers)... I’ve had since moving to TX in April ’13....competes with the best of the NW IPA for sure...go ahead try one, it won’t disappoint...Bucket head ipa (thirsty planet brewing...which to be honest is getting a ’BAD-RAP’ at a rating of 89/74...they should at least be in the low ’90s...)...Also, lost coast ipa (Real Ales/in Blanco TX) does a VERY FINE ipa!!....Chasin’ cheers :~)

Draft - Peach and huge tropical fruits. Cloudy orange with a thin beige head. Perfumy and fruity with a light bitterness. Very fruity and fun.

On tap at Hay Merchant Houston. I had heard great things about this, but honestly was underwhelmed. It was maltier than I like my IPAs. Not a great aroma. Just ok.

Draft into a shaker. Hoppy and sweet aroma. Slightly cloudy gold with thin white head. Nicely balanced. Hoppy but not overpowering. Orange, grapefruit, pine. Very smooth medium bodied. Clean finish.

Draft pour average golden. Nose great mango and fruit hop. Some sweetness. Taste grapefruit up front. Citrus and mango with tropical fruit hop. Balancing mid palate sweet. Pleasing bitter through the finish. Fairly thick mouth feel.

Very hoppy, sharp grassy and citric hops, some more resiny ones, crisp biscuit malts. Sharp bitterness too, but I dig it a lot, it just works in this American combo, with my smoked bbq meat. (On tap at Stubbs BBQ restaurant Austin)

On draft. Faint aroma of soap. Slightly bitter, no particular flavors. Lots of malt. Meh.

On tap. Poured a nice clear golden yellow with white head. A very well-made, crisp, clean IPA. Clean PNW-ish pine flavor, a little early. A little unbalanced on the hop end, but what do you expect from an IPA? Nice beer.

Cloudy orange pour. Strong hoppy initial flavor with a slightly spicy finish.

Appearance is a little lacking in clarity. Well balanced but I feel like I deserve more hops. Perhaps this keg is old? Otherwise decent.

Draft somewhere in my blurry visit to Austin. Definitely my favorite find in town. Solid, very citric IPA. Orange and amber, solid all the way around, definitely what Americans look for in an IPA. Well done. (#5239, 9/1/2013)
