Firkin... This beer rocks!… Very dark brown with a tiny, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. I’m picking up loads of chocolate and deeply roasted barley, but there are no blueberries in the aroma. Medium-bodied and creamy with prickly carbonation. The flavor is where the blueberries shine - a boatload of blueberries flanked by big-time chocolate. Leans sweet, but not by much. Quite roasty. Finishes a little watery and thin, but overall this beer is world class!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask snifter glass at Homefield- served a solid black color with an extremely light tan head the size of one finger, aroma of chocolate, some roasted malt, and a very faint note of blueberries. Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, malt gets overpowered by the nibs (fucking duh!), middle holds up fine, finish is sort of chalky with an ever faint note of blueberries. Whatever dude...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at The Hay Merchant. Pours a black with medium creamy beige head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is roast and cocoa. Thin mouthfeel with a rich malt flavor with a strong cocoa flavor and very light on the blueberry. Lingering dry finish, easy to drink a very good one off of the pecan porter.
