Amber pour. Aroma of resin, honey, and a little citrus. The rye comes through a little more clearly in the flavor, but overall this struck me as a very balanced, somewhat sweet, resinous IPA. Not a hop bomb, but really easy drinking.

Fresh aroma, spicy rye bread taste, moderately bitter finish with the rye hanging on.

Draught at the brewery taproom. Heavy flowery nose, with a slight peppery tang. Hazy dark brown color. Solid malty initial with caramel or toffee / pepper emerges in mid along with deep resinous hops / good hop track in finish. Medium body. Pepper is not so strong. Pretty good. In fact, this was the best one we had at 612 Brew.

Tap at Ward 6. Translucent copper color with lots of lacing. Ripe mangos, resinous and good rye spiciness. Taste starts with a big fruity sweetness and finishes with a lighter resinous bitterness . Body is watery with a light foaminess. A solid rye pale ale, nice balance of flavors.

On tap @ 612. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with an off white head. Caramel, bland, bitter hoppy aroma. Kind of watery, mild veggie, caramel, light citrusy flavor. Scroll past

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2014 Pour on tap at APN 2013, orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of very slight rye, hints of spice, slight orange, hints of caramel and toffee notes in there, slight grainy notes as well. Taste is a mix of lemon, slight rye, hints of orange, caramel, and toffee, touch more spice, finishing fairly sweet, slightly bitter.

Some citrus and resin on nose. Citra hops shine. Rye adds some spice. Big hoppy bitter finish

Maybe the sun was bright on my beer but this was more golden than amber to me--I always am paranoid that a bar didnít give me the right beer. This was very much hop forward, though I was surprised to hear it was Citra. I didnít see this as having rye, however. Rye usually puts me off, and while I didnít love this beer, I didnít suspect rye either. (on tap, Groveland Tap, St. Paul)

On tap at BW3 in Dinkytown. Pours a beautiful reddish brown with off-white head. Nose has roasted notes, caramel, lemony-lime hop aroma. Flavor is a well-constructed milldly roasted malt bill - some caramel, some mild toasted bread, some bready/doughy touches - very nicely balanced against hops tending towards some piney notes and tropical fruit flavors. Hops not pronounced but very perceptible. Palate is refreshingly on the lighter side for a darker ipa. I willseek this out on tap - has all the characteristics of a very sessionable pub ipa.

Tap at Buffalo Wild Wings Roseville. Pours a rather murky amber and a off white head follows then fades to a foamy film and lacing. Aroma is aromatic fruits and light bitter hops. Taste is more of the above with a decent bitterness from the hops and a fruitiness that lasts into the bitter finish. Palate is medium good carbonation and chalky. Not a bad beer.
