COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We went a little overboard on this one! A mash tun packed mostly with pale ale malt and several different varieties of crystal malt provide a firm, slightly sweet malt flavor while copious amounts of resiny Yakima Valley hops go berserk on bitterness, flavor and aroma. Yes, this IPA is massive, but thatís what going Ballz Deep is all about! Brewing specs: Original gravity: 19.0 Plato Terminal gravity: 3.25-3.75 Plato IBUs (approx.): 82

Slightly hazed orange-amber pour with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of biscuit malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, bready malt and dried fruits. The finish is caramel malt up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

A hoppy flavor with sort of a sea salt after taste. Strong aroma but lite on mouth feel. Beware 8.4% alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tumbler on 11.13.14. A: Citrusy. It smells a lot like Oskar Blues Deviant Daleís. Tropical fruit with a big brown sugar malt base. A: 2 finger head. See through red/amber body. T: Pineapple and brown sugar dominate. Pine is subtle and on the back end. O: It really does smell and taste a lot like Deviant Daleís, but itís a bit rougher around the edges. Setting that aside, itís not in the West Coast style because it has a big malt presence. This does have a nice bittersweet piney sting on the back end.

16 Oz can pour. Pours a copper color. Bitter hops and caramel malt flavors, and a little boozy. Decent flavor here. You can tell itís strong by the taste. Overall a pretty good IIPA. Will drink again.

At killer burger on tap. Smells bitter, not much for notes here. Goes down nice, carbonated well and bitter afterbite. Decent

Fruity, herbal hop aroma. Stale-like oxidized aroma; less of that in the flavor, but itís there. Citrus/grapefruit and peppery hops. Light caramel malt.

Can. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a moderate light tan head on there. Nose is pretty light for me and only has a bit of grassiness coming through. Taste is quite bitter, and has a surprising bit of toastiness coming through. Interesting.

Clear amber under a thick foamy off white head. The nose was grassy and piney with something like clean mountain spring water. Big resiny and floral flavor with a clean biscuity caramalt undertone with a small sticky sweetness toward the finish. Kinda leafy bitter throughout.

Can at Ranch-a-Thon XIV. Aroma is a malty caramel mess with loads of cardboard. No canned date so Iíll guess this is super fresh since it was just purchased on Wednesday! Taste is again a faded hop nightmare. Loads of malt and very little hops left. Can date your beer.
