COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Come late August and early September, the abundant hop cones swarming the Yakima valley reach their fruition. Wet, saturated, and dripping with essential oils and resins, they are ready for harvest. Once a year, we are presented an opportunity to brew Hop Prophet, a ’wet’ hop ale utilizing different hop varieties each year, that go from ’vine’ to ’kettle’ within hours. Exclusively brewed with wet hops the Hop Prophet yields gentle, delicate, intriguing hop aromas and flavors very unique to fresh hops. A blend of domestic Pale Ale malt, British Marris Otter malt, and a touch of crystal malt contribute a clean, off-dry mouth feel with subtle notes of honey and biscuit-like malt tones. With benevolence, good-will, and transcendence, the Hop Prophet bestows his almighty powers towards a successful harvest and his grace towards the hard working individuals toiling amongst the sun and soil of our treasured hop growing regions of Washington State.

Draft pour at Malt and Vine. Pours a fizzy copper color with a lasting head. Really nice fresh hops aroma. Rich caramel flavor with a hop presence you can’t miss. High in carb. Easy finish. Solid fresh hop here.

On tap @ Copper Coin. Pours bright orangish amber with thin white head. Aroma is smooth caramel malt, and medium grassy vegetal hops. Taste is dark fairly heavy caramel malt, fresh hoppy bitterness on the back - notes of pine and grass, lingers bitter on the finish. Odd beer, really malty for a pale. Or even an IPA too. Fresh hop notes are pretty mild compared to what’s out there.

Draft at sb. Pours a hazy dark amber. Loose creamy off white head. Toasty caramel nose with some butter, maybe a roasty coffee note. Creamy medium body, a little slick, flabby carb. Toasty caramel with herbal hop notes and a little butter. Long earthy finish.

On tap at The Burgundian Tavern, pours a clear golden with a medium foamy white head. Aroma of dry fresh hops, with quite a lot of freshness and bitterness. Flavour is a tad metallic, with fresh bitter hops, dry citrus and not much malt backbone. Very fresh, held back only slightly by the metallic notes. Solid stuff.

Draft - Nice fresh flowery citrus hops. Clear gold with long lasting head. Very light and refreshing, the high alcohol content is masked well. Slight taste of resin and mild bitterness. A session IPA.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big citrus aroma and flavor. The malt flavor is thick and tasty. Nice big pale ale with the added hops. This is a tasty brew and I loved the added hops.

Nice fruity danky nose. Tropical, some light caramel, light sweetness. Pours amber golden, thin head and lace. The flavor is mostly fruity fresh hops, somewhat tropical with dank laced in there as well. Some light caramel malt sweetness, medium resinous, nice and drinkable stuff not too heavy on the crystal malt. Boom!
