Draught, 5.1% at the brewpub. Hazy dark yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is chili all the way through from the first sensation to the long burning aftertaste. Very hot, must be the hottest chili beer I ever had. Burns my throat. Too much.

On tap @ 7 Stern Brau, Vienna. Pours an innocent looking golden color. Aroma is slightly vegetal & gives you no idea about the instant heat awaiting you. Pepper heat hits your tongue first and it builds from there. Heat heads up to your nasal cavity. Lingering sweetness also resides here. Decent beer but would be difficult to have a lot of

swing top bottle (500ml).-courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog (thanks!)
My second Austrian chilli beer. Cloudy yellow/pale orange coloured (similar to Hanf), medium sized white head, dusty, light peppery nose. Bready, light malty and hoppy with sharp chili taste. Burning lingering notes in the throat and long lasting aftertaste. Uhhh, I love chilli. Decent chilli beer, but I still prefer Dombräu Chili.

0.5l bottle brought from Vienna by a friend (thanks Ivana!)
Aww, my third chilli beer, how cute. Poured a yellow/orange murky body with a thick white medium sized head that went away slowly. Weak nose, but with evident peppers. The base beer turns out to be quite bready, with some lemony hoppy notes trying to be refreshing in spite of their surroundings. And then the big chilli burn wipes everything clean and stays there for awhile. It wasn’t as offensive as the Dom Brau one for me, but it certainly didn’t change my mind about these beers.

Pours golden with a nice small creamy head with laces. Aroma of pepper, chilli and flowers. It burns more than it tastes... but it starts of very nicely, quite sweet, but then you sudden get a burning throat and can not enjoy it anymore. But still very interesting :o)
